I was approached by a woman who works with my husband to draw her in-laws for their 60th wedding party. In the photo the heads were 1/2" big and this photo was painted (looked like the bride had mascara and I don't think they used that 60 years ago! 
).
This is 8x10, Bristol Smooth, mechanical pencils.
I found many challenges in this with the small ref photo...couldn't clearly see the glasses, noses...etc. On a happy note, the client LOVED this and can't wait to show it off and give it away at the party.
